Student-Centered Learning
I believe every child has unique strengths, interests, and ways of learning. My teaching approach prioritizes meeting students where they are, fostering curiosity, and creating opportunities for them to take ownership of their learning. By providing engaging, hands-on experiences, I aim to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Inclusive and Respectful Community
I am committed to building a classroom where every student feels valued, respected, and seen. Diversity is celebrated, and differences are embraced as opportunities for growth and understanding. Through intentional practices, I create a safe space where students can take risks, share ideas, and learn from one another. I design differentiated lessons that support diverse learners, including English language learners and students with IEPs, and provide individualized instruction for those needing additional support.
Growth Through Collaboration
I view teaching as a collaborative journey—between educators, families, and the wider school community. By working together, sharing ideas, and supporting one another, we create the best possible environment for student success. I also model lifelong learning by engaging in professional development and reflecting on my practice.
